On July 31st of this year, the company had 6993 employees in its 19 locations, such as;\u00a0San Jose, California; Munich, Germany and London, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<h3>PGM CAPITAL\u2019s COMMENTS &amp; ANALYSIS:<\/h3>\n<p>NIO Ltd, also known as the TESLA of China, managed to raise US<span class=\"m_-1464620285026476453money\">$1<\/span>\u00a0billion, on\u00a0Wednesday, September 12, its first day of trading on the\u00a0NYSE.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_17772\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Screen-Shot-2018-09-21-at-5.40.27-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17772\" class=\"wp-image-17772\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Screen-Shot-2018-09-21-at-5.40.27-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-17772\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NIO CEO William Bin Lee at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, September 12, the first day of trading for the company&#8217;s stock.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The company, which was founded only four years ago, is attempting to take on\u00a0Tesla\u00a0(NYSE:\u00a0<span class=\"inlink_chart\">TSLA<\/span>)\u00a0in China, the world&#8217;s\u00a0biggest electric vehicle market.<\/p>\n<p>Nio&#8217;s ES8 electric SUV, which was unveiled last year, sells for about $65,000, or about half the price of the most basic version of Tesla&#8217;s\u00a0Model X\u00a0in China.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of July, it had 17,000 vehicles on order from customers, but had delivered fewer than 500, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1736541\/000119312518247401\/d560276df1.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regulatory filing<\/a>\u00a0for its IPO.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese electric carmakers are seeking capital to develop autonomous driving and battery technologies. Beijing wants to rapidly expand China&#8217;s production to curb vehicle emissions, boost energy security and promote high-tech industries.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate its IPO on Wallstreet, NIO showed some of it models in front of the NYSE as can be seen from the picture below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/nio-shares-start-trading-on-new-york-stock-exchange-on-september-12-2018_100670478_m.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17775\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/nio-shares-start-trading-on-new-york-stock-exchange-on-september-12-2018_100670478_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"401\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Right now, NIO is only producing vehicles for China but is preparing to sell in Europe as well as the USA. In\u00a0California, USA, they already own a department exploring autonomous technology.<\/p>\n<p>Like Tesla, NIO continues to report a loss, posting a net loss of US$502.6 million in the first six months of 2018 on revenue of US$6.95 million, according to the company. NIO which is still at the outset of production, has sold 2,100 vehicles so far.<\/p>\n<p>Millennial investors have been pilling into\u00a0NIO, since its US initial public offering last week.
