It was founded in 1912 by the Republican government to replace the <em>Daqing<\/em>&nbsp;Bank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the oldest bank in mainland China still in existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Bank_of_China_logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18874\" width=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Bank_of_China_logo.jpg 542w, https:\/\/www.pgmcapital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Bank_of_China_logo-300x102.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 542px) 100vw, 542px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 31 December 2009, it was the second largest lender in China overall, and the 5th largest bank in the world by market capitalization value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of end 2017, it was the fourth largest bank in the world in terms of assets, ranked after the other 3 Chinese banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has its headquarter in Beijing, China and by the end of 2018, the it had 311,000 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shares of the company are trading on the shanghai stock exchange (SSE) under the symbol 601988 and on the Hong Kong Exchange under the symbol 3988.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this chapter we want find answer to the question whether Bank of China&#8217;s at its closing price of Friday July 19, is currently undervalued, providing a great entry point for value investor to buy it or add more to their portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Bank of China worth?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on its financial report of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/pic.bankofchina.com\/bocappd\/report\/201904\/P020190429613479216379.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Q1-2019<\/a>, the company&#8217;s equity was 1,817,655 million CNY. Buying a great company with a robust outlook at a cheap price is always a good investment, so let\u2019s also take a look at the company&#8217;s future expectations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bank of China\u2019s earnings growth are expected to be in the teens in the upcoming years, indicating a solid future ahead.
